Russ built his whole career without a label, putting out a song at a time until it worked, and the book is basically him telling you to back yourself and get on with it.
He says the same thing several different ways and it is not a long book. But the thing he is saying is the reason I have built most of what I have built instead of waiting for someone to hand me the chance, so I cannot pretend it did not land.
